According to a plaque in the front yard, Jimmy was born in Pascagoula on Christmas Day, 1946. The plaque is decorated with gifts and tokens from well-wishers. There's no tour, just the plaque.

Spread along 14 now-overgrown acres, the outdoor Mississippi Basin Model was the largest hydraulic model ever built. Begun in 1943, completed in 1966, closed in 1993, abandoned soon thereafter.
